Single-Window system shall help boost industrialisation in Tripura: CM

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb today called for speedy industrialisation through single window system. Addressing the gathering in the Kharchi Puja festival today, the Chief Minister said unlike previous policy, his government has eased the industrialists across the state to set up their units. He said, "From now on industrialist shall not require to wait for a year for setting up their industries as they will be provided with a licence within a month or 14 days."

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb was saying this while inaugurating the seven-day famous "Kharchi Puja" in the state's erstwhile capital Puran Habeli in the presence of a host of ministers, dignitaries and people from different parts of the state and abroad. He said, "Tripura government is working to boost the GDP growth of this state." He claimed, "Unlike previous Left government, his government has announced series of schemes to expedite the state's GDP growth. Not a single schemes for GDP growth of this state was announced earlier during the Left regime."

"The BJP-IPFT coalition government has announced Atal Jal Dhara Mission scheme aiming to grow the state's GDP. The GDP will grow at least by 3 per cent with the implementation of this Atal Jal Dhara Mission which targets to connect every household with pip-lined water by 2022," Mr. Deb said today. The annual festival of worship of Fourteen Gods popularly known as Kharchi Puja in Tripura started here Wednesday. Of the many festivals in the hilly northeast Indian state, Kharchi Puja occupies the pride of the place. As per the tradition, the week-long festival began with a colourful procession. All deities and priests were escorted by Tripura Police personnel, who also presented a guard of honour to the chief royal priest known as "Raj Chantaia".
