IPFT refused to forge alliance with Congress, says Pradyot

The IPFT, an ally to the BJP coalition government in Tripura today rejected the alliance plea of Congress and decided to battle this ensuing Lok Sabha Poll separately in both the state's constituencies in East and West. This perhaps has come up after the Congress President Pradyot Kishore Deb Burman in his visit to IPFT chief N C Debbarma's has urged him to ally with the Congress and oust the BJP.

Pradyot accompanied by the congress alliance partner INPT chief Bijoy Hrangkhwal on Wednesday night made a sudden visit to N C Debbarma's residence urged N C Debbarma not to allow the tiprasa vote to be divided and join congress to stop the BJP which is for the citizenship amendment bill . Pardyot today reacting on IPFT's decision of battling seperately without any alliance said,

"Sadly our words for unity have been rejected by the IPFT . Sometimes we are our own worst enemies."In his social media page today morning, Pradyot said, "Just got a call from NC Debbarma that he will contesting both the seats. Bk Hrangkhawl along with me had visited NC Debbarma last evening and urged him not to allow the tiprasa vote to be divided and join us to stop the BJP which is for the citizenship amendment bill."  However, after series of discussion with Pradyot on Wednesday night, the IPFT chief N C Debbarma sought time to come up with the decision of making alliance with Congress.

Mr. Debbarma, according to Pradyot today come up deciding to contest both the seats seperately. Earlier this week the Congress under the influence of Pradyot forged an alliance with another tribal based regional political party - INPT to battle agaisnt CAB-2016 of BJP. Congress slogging for 'Puila Jati Ulo Party' - - 'First Community, Later Party' have been eyeing to bring tribals and its different organisation in the state under one platform and battle and battle against BJP's CAB and Forest Right Act.
