The four-year rule of the Bharatiya Janata Party at the Centre did not help control price rise and farmer suicides nor has it ensured employment. Similarly the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, which failed on its promises to people, helped the BJP by supporting their policies by not raising any concern over several things, former Chief Minister of Tripura and senior leader of Communist Party of India (Marxist) Manik Sarkar said in Telengana.

Campaigning for Kalluri Mallesham,  ahujan Left Party nominee , Mr. Sarkar said both the parties, along with the Congress supported the capitalists. It is time people's real voices are heard in the Assembly, he said. The slogan for a separate Telangana emerged due to bad policies of the Congress, he said, and asked people to be alert as the BJP is indulging in divisive politics by using religion.“The TRS here has not accomplished people's dreams, and by gaining 43% votes and 63 seats, it bought more MLAs to run the government. It is not democracy,” he said.
