Puja bonanza of 7th CPC announced for Tripura govt. employees, pensioners & others

With just 6 days left for the Bengali’s biggest festival – Durga Puja, the Tripura BJP-IPFT government today announced the much awaited for 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) for its employees, pensioners and other section including the Anganwadi workers. With the implementation of this 7th CPC the BJP-IPFT government has minimized it’s pay difference with the centre.

The three hours long cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Tuesday, the BJP-IPFT government has announced the 7th CPC adding a feather to the beginning of this festive season in the state of Tripura. The date of effect of the revision of the pay, wages and pensions shall be from 1st October 2018.  

In case of the regular employees, the new pay structure shall be in the form of “Tripura State Pay Matrix 2018”. As per the 7th CPC announced today by the state cabinet, the minimum pay at the entry level of the pay matrix shall be Rs. 18, 000 per month for Group-C employees and Rs. 16, 000 per month for the Group-D employees of the state government.

However, the Verma committee being constituted by the BJP-IPFT government after coming to power has tabled the report on October 5 with the government, following which the government meeting the long pending demands of its employees has announced the 7th CPC today.
