Manik targets BJP led centre

 Chief minister Manik Sarkar yesterday alleged BJP-led Central government has been trying to wind up public distribution system from the country, which would affect the common people. Addressing a gathering in the inauguration of water supply plant at Mohanbhog of Sonamura, he said the Central government reduced the quota of rice in ration, stopped supply of sugar, increased the rate of kerosene. Not only rationing system education, health system may be handed over to the private sectors.

If the Centre do the same thing poor people and middle class families will be affected severely, Sarkar said adding earlier the Centre and state had been jointly implementing the education and health related schemes. But the present government at the Centre working against the poor people by reducing the allocation under these schemes.

He said the BJP leaders announced two crores appointment per year if they form the ministry, will reduce the price of the essential commodities, but did nothing. Rather the employees have been loosing jobs, the number of unemployeds are increasing, suicide of farmers increased many folds, inflation rising etc. People started movement against the price rise, he said and added that a political party leaders are trying to divide the people in religious line. They also trying to destroy the development works of Left Front government but they would not be succeed.
